Operations & On‑Site Manager – Warehousing & Logistics

About the role

The Operations / On‑Site Manager will lead recruitment, workforce and operational activities at client sites serving warehousing, distribution, logistics and e‑commerce businesses. Acting as the primary liaison between the recruitment agency and the client, you will ensure staffing solutions meet productivity targets and service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, maintain strong relationships, and conduct regular operational reviews.
• Forecast workforce needs, coordinate recruitment, manage onboarding and deployment of temporary and permanent staff.
• Oversee daily site operations, monitor performance against KPIs, and produce operational reports for management and clients.
• Handle employee relations, including disciplinary processes, grievances, counselling and performance management in line with labour legislation.
• Ensure compliance with the Labour Relations Act and other relevant regulations, and manage risk associated with workforce deployment.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing recruitment and workforce in warehousing, distribution, logistics or e‑commerce environments.
• Strong client‑facing skills with the ability to build and sustain professional relationships.
• Good knowledge of South African labour legislation, particularly the Labour Relations Act.
• Ability to analyse operational data, produce reports and drive continuous improvement.
