Nurse Educator – 6 openings

About the role

The Lesotho Nursing Council is seeking six qualified Nurse Educators to develop and administer licensure examinations for its Diploma programmes in Nursing and Midwifery. The role involves supporting the Council’s mandate to ensure high‑quality education, assessment and professional standards for nurses and midwives in Lesotho.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prepare and set entry‑to‑practice licensure examinations for the Content‑Based and Competency‑Based Nursing curricula.
• Develop assessment tools for the Midwifery programme.
• Monitor and evaluate student performance throughout the diploma courses.
• Collaborate with curriculum teams to ensure examinations align with national standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Nursing Education with at least five years of relevant experience.
• Registered Nurse Midwife, currently licensed as a Nurse Educator.
• Master’s degree in Education is an added advantage.
• Demonstrated professionalism and strong work ethic.

Required skills

• Expertise in nursing education and curriculum development.
• Proficiency in designing assessment and examination materials.
