Night Nurse Manager - Hospital Group, Kathu

About the role

The Night Nurse Manager is responsible for the clinical nursing management of the hospital at night. The role involves coordinating all functions and activities related to the provision, promotion and assurance of clinical patient care through the leadership of a multidisciplinary team, in consultation with all relevant stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the allocated nursing budget at night
• Understand the financial fundamentals of the health care industry
• Identify areas to improve operational efficiency to support sustainability and growth
• Provide safe, cost-effective quality patient care in line with the clinical governance strategy of Lenmed / the hospital and evidence-based practice
• Evaluate nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes
• Promote the health and wellbeing of patients and employees
• Ensure infection prevention and standard precautions are followed
• Implement group quality initiatives

Required profile

• Relevant nursing qualification (B.Cur. degree or relevant management qualification)
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse
• Compliance with the SANC code for registered nurses and applicable health care legislation
• Intermediate to advanced computer literacy
• Clinical expertise within your specialty
