Medical Science Liaison – Cardio‑Renal‑Metabolic (Algeria)

About the role

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will represent Boehringer Ingelheim in Algeria, focusing on Cardio‑Renal‑Metabolic therapeutic areas. Reporting to the Medical Director, the MSL will build trusted scientific partnerships with external stakeholders, facilitate knowledge exchange, and support informed patient‑management decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain deep medical and scientific expertise on assigned products and therapeutic areas.
• Engage key opinion leaders and external experts through high‑quality scientific exchange and peer‑to‑peer discussions.
• Plan, execute, and monitor local medical activities aligned with therapeutic‑area priorities.
• Provide scientific updates and medical information to internal and external audiences.
• Share external insights with cross‑functional teams to shape medical, research, and commercialization strategies.
• Support advisory boards, medical training, and therapy‑area updates for field and brand teams.
• Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and industry codes of conduct.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Life Sciences.
• Minimum 2 years of MSL experience in Algeria, with knowledge of the local healthcare system.
• Experience in Cardio‑Renal‑Metabolic therapeutic areas is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel up to 50 % of the time and work predominantly in the field.
• Fluency in English and the local language.
