Medical Reporting Nurse

About the role

The Medical Reporting Nurse at Lalu transforms patient records into accurate, compliant, and meaningful medical reports. Working within the Group function, the role supports operational excellence, clinical governance and continuous improvement across all service lines. The position is based on‑site in Cape Town, Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct electronic review and sign‑off of various medical reports, including SARs, insurance, DWP, MOD, legal aid, court disclosures, police requests and occupational health reports.
• Curate reports to ensure relevant information is identified, organised and presented according to client requirements and legal frameworks.
• Apply professional judgement to assess the accuracy, completeness and appropriateness of report content.
• Review patient records covering demographics, consultations, medications, immunisations, investigations, correspondence and uploaded documents.
• Safeguard patient confidentiality while supporting clinical governance and managing clinical risk.
• Identify process and system enhancements and develop best‑practice guidance.
• Support onboarding and development of new employees.
• Promote high standards across the organisation.
