Medical Delegate – Infant Nutrition (Cape Town)

About the role

Join Nestlé Infant Nutrition as a Medical Delegate in Cape Town, promoting scientifically backed infant nutrition solutions to health‑care professionals and institutions. You will act as a trusted advisor, supporting the first 1000 days of life through ethical, evidence‑based product advocacy.

Key responsibilities

• Detail the Nestlé Infant Nutrition product range to approximately 250 health‑care professionals (HCPs) and health‑care institutions (HCIs) within the assigned territory.
• Apply advanced professional negotiation skills to influence product recommendation and advocacy.
• Manage territory planning, master schedule, call rates, and execution of action plans.
• Utilise a hybrid/remote interaction model while ensuring compliance with the WHO International Code and Nestlé’s internal guidelines.
• Build strategic relationships with key contacts in both private and government sectors to drive institutional recommendations.

Required profile

• BSc in Dietetics, Nutrition or a Nursing degree.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Medical Delegate or pharmaceutical representative.
• Valid (unendorsed) driver’s licence.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Self‑starter with strong planning, organization and negotiation abilities.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience managing data using digital devices.
