About the role

Our client, a reputable school in Durban, is seeking a passionate Mathematics Educator to deliver high‑quality instruction at the Matric level. The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering academic excellence and supporting learner achievement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess Matric Mathematics lessons in line with the CAPS curriculum.
• Maintain strong classroom management and create an engaging learning environment.
• Monitor learner performance and provide targeted feedback.
• Utilise educational technology to enhance teaching and learning.
• Contribute to school-wide academic initiatives and collaborative teaching practices.

Required profile

• SACE registration (essential).
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Education with Mathematics as a teaching subject.
• Minimum five years of teaching experience, including Matric Mathematics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for learner development and academic excellence.

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of the CAPS curriculum.
• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
• Effective assessment and performance monitoring.
