Marketing Manager – South Africa

About the role

Fido is looking for its first marketing hire in South Africa to lead the brand’s launch and growth. This solo, hands‑on position will own the entire marketing function for the country, shaping how the company is perceived by local customers and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of Fido’s South African marketing strategy, including brand positioning and consumer insights.
• Translate global brand elements into localized go‑to‑market plans across digital, field, PR, blog, social, and email channels.
• Own and grow Fido’s social media presence on all relevant platforms.
• Lead creative development, brief writers and designers, edit content, and ensure strong audience engagement.
• Plan and execute physical and virtual events, handling logistics, vendor management, on‑site execution, and post‑event measurement.
• Build and manage relationships with finance and fintech media, creative agencies, community organisations, employers, and ecosystem players.
• Identify and execute strategic marketing partnerships to increase brand visibility and customer acquisition.

Required profile

• Solo, hands‑on marketer comfortable owning an entire function.
• First marketing hire for a new market, able to build brand from the ground up.
• Strong ability to analyse market data and consumer insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
