Performance Marketing Specialist – Fixed‑Term Contractor

About the role

Liberty, a leading financial services group in Africa, is looking for a Performance Marketing Specialist on a fixed‑term contract to drive its eCommerce initiatives in Johannesburg. The role focuses on boosting conversions, acquiring new customers and maximising ROI from paid media.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive eCommerce campaign strategies aligned with business objectives and market opportunities.
• Oversee day‑to‑day implementation and management of paid media campaigns across digital channels.
• Monitor and optimise performance metrics such as CTR, CVR, CPA and ROAS, applying data‑driven adjustments.
• Allocate and manage paid media budgets to achieve the highest possible ROI.
• Produce regular performance reports, delivering insights and recommendations for future strategies.
• Collaborate with Content, Creative, SEO and Analytics teams to ensure an integrated marketing approach.
• Leverage eCommerce platforms to acquire customers and drive online sales growth.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of integrated and digital marketing experience with a strong emphasis on performance optimisation.
• Proven track record of optimising paid media campaigns and delivering measurable improvements.
• Experience leveraging eCommerce platforms to acquire customers and increase online revenue.
• Strong analytical acumen for interpreting data and informing marketing decisions.
• First‑degree qualification in Marketing or a related field.
• Ability to work effectively within cross‑functional teams.
