Marketing Manager – Retail Head Office (Sandton)

About the role

Our client, an international sports brand, is looking for a Marketing Manager to lead retail marketing activities from its Sandton head office. The role will shape and execute strategies that drive footfall, customer acquisition and brand loyalty across both physical stores and digital channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a retail marketing strategy aligned with commercial and brand objectives.
• Plan and manage annual and seasonal marketing calendars across all channels.
• Lead end‑to‑end execution of retail campaigns, including promotions, product launches and brand initiatives.
• Manage ATL, BTL and digital campaigns to drive traffic and conversion.
• Coordinate in‑store activations, POS, visual merchandising and experiential marketing.
• Oversee paid media, social, email and website content; analyse performance, ROI and customer insights.
• Collaborate with e‑commerce teams to grow online sales and omnichannel performance.
• Manage CRM and loyalty programmes.
• Protect brand equity by ensuring consistent brand guidelines across all touchpoints.
• Develop trade marketing plans for store openings, promotions and category growth.
• Own the marketing budget, control costs and optimise ROI.
• Present performance insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer behaviour to inform planning.
• Lead, mentor and develop the marketing team and external partners.
• Ensure compliance with advertising standards, POPIA and brand/legal requirements.

Required profile

• Relevant marketing experience within a retail environment.
• Relevant tertiary education.
