Manager - Proactive Fraud Risk Management

About the role

Mobile Telephone Networks (Pty) Ltd is looking for a Manager of Proactive Fraud Risk Management in its Risk and Compliance function, based in Roodepoort. The role contributes to the fraud prevention strategy and oversees fraud detection and prevention frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and implementation of the fraud prevention strategy.
• Develop and manage fraud detection and prevention frameworks aligned to the overall Fraud Risk Strategy.
• Test key fraud controls, systems and processes regularly and recommend improvements.
• Produce management reports on fraud trends, emerging risks, exposures and mitigation recommendations.
• Oversee the whistle-blower programme and ensure awareness and training across the business.
• Advise management on fraud detection and prevention strategies and frameworks.
• Report on audit outcomes, quantify values at risk, cover fraud risk across departments, functions and locations, and oversee medium to high-risk audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Audit, Finance or a related field; CA or CIA qualification advantageous.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, including people management responsibilities.
• Experience across diverse cultures and geographies and in a small to medium-sized organisation is preferred.

• Fraud and investigation expertise, preferably in technology-related investigations.
• Project management.
