Maintenance Supervisor - M1

About the role

Sandvik Mining, a global supplier of equipment, tools, parts, service and technical solutions for mining and infrastructure, is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor in Lydenburg. The role manages maintenance and supports the Performance Contract Manager in achieving cost effectiveness and operational profit through optimal performing subordinates, customer relations, cost effectiveness and safety, health and environmental effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Plan maintenance
• Identify and address risks with the client and Contract Manager
• Identify outstanding work
• Enforce the maintenance schedule and preventative maintenance
• Handle performance agreements and appraisals for subordinates
• Comply with the company SHEQ management system and its objectives and targets

Required profile

• Grade 12 / N3 technical qualification or equivalent
• Relevant trade certificate accompanied by a POE
• Maintenance experience of 5 years
• Supervisory experience of 3 years
• English proficiency
• Valid driver's licence
• Physical and medical ability to work in an underground mining environment
• Trackless mining experience is advantageous
