Remote Monitoring Engineer - Screens and Feeders

About the role

Sandvik's Rock Processing business is looking for a technically skilled, customer-focused Remote Monitoring Engineer for its screens and feeders business. The role enhances customer relations through technical expertise and asset performance monitoring with ACS-s and SAM, and provides technical support for remote monitoring agreements and stakeholders in the Sales Areas. The position is based in Kempton Park.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor connected screens in SAM
• Act as the key contact for Sales Areas and customers for screens in EMEA
• Prepare monitoring reports for key customers
• Support customers with recommended actions to improve the performance and reliability of monitoring screens
• Be the technical expert for ACS-s hardware and features in SAM
• Deliver technical training for ACS-s and SAM to stakeholders in the Sales Areas
• Continuously improve SAM features and state variables and share feedback with development teams
• Keep customers informed of the latest EHS guidelines for screening assets and promote the EHS policy and company values
• Ensure corrective actions are implemented after incidents and promote continuous improvement and best practices

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field
• At least 2 years' experience in the mining industry
• Experience in troubleshooting, servicing, designing or selling screening equipment is advantageous
• Previous condition monitoring experience, especially in mining, is preferred
• Valid driver's licence and ability to travel within the EMEA region when required

Required skills

• Knowledge of vibrating equipment and mining plant processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong problem-solving, communication and customer service skills
