Maintenance Operator – Electrical (Grade 2) – 2 Positions

About the role

Sasol is seeking two Grade 2 Maintenance Operators to support the upkeep of electrical systems and equipment at its Secunda site. You will operate electrical devices, collect accurate field data and contribute to safe, reliable plant performance.

Key responsibilities

• Apply and maintain safety standards in the work environment.
• Participate in daily morning meetings and provide progress feedback to supervisors.
• Carry out planned maintenance tasks and plant inspections.
• Identify faults using appropriate methods to ensure equipment availability.
• Support root‑cause analysis activities and provide feedback to RCA teams.
• Maintain good housekeeping and follow waste‑disposal procedures.
• Attend training courses, seminars and toolbox talks to improve competency.
• Capture accurate history data for equipment renewals and critical spares.

Required profile

• Grade 12 with Maths, English & Science or N3 with Maths & Engineering Science (NQF Level 2).
• 1–2 years of relevant electrical maintenance experience.
• Valid Code C1 (old Code 10) driver’s licence.
• Demonstrated self‑discipline, teamwork and attention to detail.
