Logistics Coordinator – Import & Export

About the role

The Logistics Coordinator (Import & Export) will manage end‑to‑end inbound and outbound supply chains for Centurion Manufacturing, ensuring timely, cost‑effective movement of goods while complying with South African Revenue Service (SARS) regulations and international trade agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee inbound logistics: customs clearance, freight forwarder coordination, tariff classification, and resolution of bottlenecks.
• Partner with international suppliers to track air, sea, and road shipments and negotiate shipping rates and Incoterms.
• Audit the supply chain continuously to minimise costs and transit times, aligning procurement and sales demand.
• Manage outbound logistics: optimise export routes, select transport modes, keep customers informed, and ensure compliance with SARS, SADC, AfCFTA, and EU‑SADC EPA regulations.
• Prepare accurate customs declarations, EUR.1 certificates, and bills of lading; negotiate service terms with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and transport providers.
• Monitor and mitigate risks such as demurrage, port delays, and international transit issues while driving cost‑saving initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal Sales, Production, and Finance teams to align shipping schedules with client expectations and payment terms, including Letters of Credit.

Required profile

• Matric qualification (tertiary qualification advantageous).
• Minimum 3 years of import and export logistics experience.

• Compliance with SARS regulations and regional trade agreements (SADC, AfCFTA, EU‑SADC EPA).

What we offer

• Competitive salary ranging from R20 000 to R30 000 per month CTC, dependent on experience and qualifications.
