Logistics Assistant – Immediate Start in Midrand

About the role

Our client is seeking a proactive Logistics Assistant to join the team in Midrand, Gauteng. This contract role offers an immediate start and the chance to support daily logistics operations in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with daily route planning and delivery scheduling
• Coordinate delivery schedules to maximise efficiency
• Monitor delivery progress and provide updates as required
• Resolve basic logistics issues and escalate complex matters
• Prepare and maintain accurate delivery documentation
• Contact customers to confirm delivery dates and times
• Communicate delivery delays, changes, and queries professionally
• Respond to customer enquiries relating to deliveries and logistics
• Maintain accurate records and organised administrative systems

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
• At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse, logistics, transport or customer service environment
• Previous customer service and administrative experience is advantageous
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook & Word)
• Ability to learn and work on logistics, dispatch or ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Available to start immediately
