Line Operator – Hair Colour Packing

About the role
The Line Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a hair colour packing line in the Eastern Suburbs of Johannesburg. This contractor position requires immediate availability and focuses on maintaining product quality while meeting production schedules.
Key responsibilities
- Operate packing and cartooning equipment according to standard procedures.
- Ensure products are packed correctly and on schedule.
- Identify and address operational issues that affect productivity.
- Perform machine adjustments and size changeovers.
- Conduct routine quality inspections.
- Comply with HSEQ requirements, report unsafe conditions, and maintain housekeeping standards.
- Participate in safety training and related activities.
Required profile
- Grade 12 / NSC qualification.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to read production documentation.
- 2–3 years of experience operating equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Clean criminal record.
Required skills
- Packaging machinery operation.
- Batch coding.
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
