Lecturer – Applied Marketing Research & Digital Business

About the role

The university is seeking a dynamic Lecturer to teach Applied Marketing Research and Digital Business within its Bachelor of Commerce programmes. The role involves designing and delivering engaging lectures, workshops and practical sessions, while supporting student learning and academic development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials and workshops for undergraduate marketing and digital business modules.
• Design, update and maintain course curricula, instructional materials and digital resources.
• Develop and administer assessments, grade assignments and provide constructive feedback.
• Monitor student progress, keep accurate academic records and offer academic advice.
• Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring content aligns with current industry trends and accreditation standards.
• Participate in departmental committees, administrative tasks and policy implementation.
• Promote an inclusive classroom environment and support diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.

Required profile

• Postgraduate degree or diploma (NQF level 8) in Marketing, Commerce or a related field.
• Prior lecturing experience, preferably both in‑person and online.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and collaborative research.
