Lecturer / Senior Lecturer – Information Technology

About the role

STADIO Higher Education seeks a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to deliver high‑quality teaching in Information Technology. The role involves supporting student success, contributing to curriculum development, and engaging in research and community projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lectures and assess students in line with accredited programmes.
• Provide timely feedback on assignments, exams and other assessments.
• Utilise the learning management system independently and collaborate on module design.
• Participate in curriculum development and incorporate current educational trends.
• Undertake internal moderation to ensure assessment validity.
• Conduct venue‑based assessment invigilation as required.
• Provide academic guidance and support to students.
• Complete quality‑assurance requirements for modules and programmes.
• Engage in research activities and community projects.
• Maintain effective communication with students, colleagues and management.
• Ensure compliance with policies and standard operating procedures.
• Participate in meetings, workshops and relevant committees.
• Fulfil administrative duties as directed by the line manager.

Required profile

• At least a master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• For senior lecturer positions, a PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Industry certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA/CCNP, AWS, Microsoft Azure, CompTIA Security+, Data Science, Security+) are advantageous.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of computer architecture and hardware/software interaction.
• Practical experience with HTML, CSS, responsive and mobile‑first design, Adobe Dreamweaver, PHP, JavaScript, MySQL and server‑side development.
• Sound knowledge of basic electronics, circuit analysis, Boolean logic, digital circuits and microcontrollers.
• Competence in mathematical concepts such as sets, functions, relations, counting techniques, logic, proof methods, recurrence relations, number theory, graphs and trees.
