L2 Operator – Canelands Manufacturing Plant

About the role
UPL is seeking an L2 Operator for its Canelands manufacturing site. The role involves operating and monitoring production equipment, ensuring safety and quality standards, and meeting daily output targets in a fast‑paced agro‑chemical environment.
Key responsibilities
- Operate designated machinery and semi‑automated filling machines according to SOPs.
- Record production data, monitor OEE, CCP, RFT and yield metrics.
- Perform routine equipment checks, first‑line maintenance and change‑overs.
- Handle raw material staging, sampling procedures and packaging of finished goods.
- Mentor line operators and ensure compliance with SHEQ and 5S standards.
- Operate licensed forklifts for material movement.
Required profile
- Valid forklift licence.
- Experience in a manufacturing or processing environment.
- Ability to follow UPL BOM procedures and safety protocols.
Required skills
- Forklift operation (licensed).
- Operation of semi‑automated filling and packaging equipment.
- Production equipment monitoring (OEE, CCP, RFT).
- Basic first‑line maintenance of production lines.
