Kitchen Creative (Chef)

About the role

A Radisson hotel in Cape Town is looking for a Kitchen Creative (Chef) to join its culinary team. The role brings a fresh wave of creativity and a passion for gastronomy to the kitchen, supporting the smooth running of the kitchen department and the delivery of a high-quality guest dining experience across the whole hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Support the smooth running of the kitchen department and deliver the guest dining experience to the highest standard.
• Work as part of a team that maximises guest satisfaction, responding positively and promptly to enquiries and problems.
• Take responsibility for assigned duties and complete them in a timely, professional way.
• Deliver departmental plans and objectives so that hotel initiatives and targets are met.
• Collaborate with the immediate supervisor to control costs and inventory and to attain productivity and performance levels.
• Maintain effective working relationships while promoting the company culture and values.
• Ensure compliance with all legislation, with due diligence, best practice and documentation for internal and external audits, including follow-up where required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a relevant role in a busy kitchen.
• Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Hands-on approach with a can-do work style.
• Commitment to exceptional guest service and a passion for the hospitality industry.
• Ability to find creative solutions and take ownership of assigned duties.
