Junior Technician – Electronic Systems for Mining

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Technician to deliver comprehensive technical services for electronic equipment that supports health, safety and productivity in the mining sector. The role involves installing, maintaining, certifying and supporting electronic products on site.

Key responsibilities

• Install, repair, certify and provide technical support for electronic products and systems to the highest safety standards.
• Set up and test units to meet specified requirements and perform quality checks in line with company policy.
• Troubleshoot issues, determine root causes and recommend corrective actions or escalate when necessary.
• Maintain electronic equipment and software, ensuring compliance with company standards and client scope.
• Record maintenance activities, report further requirements and assist with new projects.
• Operate hand tools and small power tools safely and maintain a clean work environment.
• Liaise with other technical staff and on‑site customers to ensure quality, safety and contractual compliance.
• Provide regular feedback to the Technical Coordinator and Supervisor and support senior technicians as required.
• Develop customer relations and complete required documentation and reports.

Required profile

• N4 qualification in Electronic/Electrical.
• 2–4 years experience in electronics (hardware and software) and IT (hardware, networks, software).
• Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle.
• Strong communication, detail‑oriented, self‑disciplined and respectful attitude.
• Willingness to learn, logical and creative thinking, and ability to adapt to change.
