Junior Night Auditor

About the role

The Junior Night Auditor joins One&Only Cape Town’s Front Office team to ensure the accuracy of all financial and operational records during the overnight shift. Reporting to the Night Manager, you will blend financial auditing with front‑office guest service in a luxury hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Verify guest accounts, balance departmental revenue and process all financial transactions for the night shift.
• Prepare audit reports, reconcile cash floats and credit‑card transactions, and handle foreign‑currency exchanges according to hotel policy.
• Assist with check‑ins, check‑outs and guest inquiries, delivering service that meets luxury standards.
• Maintain accurate room‑occupancy records and coordinate with Housekeeping, Security, Maintenance and Food & Beverage.
• Operate the hotel switchboard, manage incoming calls, arrange wake‑up calls and respond to emergency situations.

Required profile

• High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy.
• Ability to work independently during night hours.
• Excellent organizational skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Previous experience in hospitality or front‑office operations is desirable.

Required skills

• Cash handling and reconciliation.
• Basic accounting or audit procedures.
• Proficiency with hotel property management systems (PMS) for night audit functions.
