Junior Logistics Engineer – P2

About the role

Sandvik Mining is seeking a Junior Logistics Engineer to support its Logistics Engineering function across the C4 Hub in Jet Park, the Burgersfort branch, and other core network sites in Africa. The role focuses on operational analysis, system support, and continuous improvement of warehouse and transportation processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily Logistics Engineering activities across multiple sites.
• Analyse operational data to identify trends, gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and KPIs.
• Assist with SAP system enhancements, WMS and TMS implementation, stabilisation and optimisation.
• Participate in SAP EWM readiness activities.
• Contribute to warehouse layout reviews and process optimisation projects.
• Maintain SOPs, engineering records and process documentation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on inventory, freight and supply‑chain initiatives.
• Provide project coordination, testing support and administrative assistance for logistics projects.

Required profile

• Degree in Supply Chain Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of supply‑chain experience, with at least 3 years in a similar logistics engineering role.
• Exposure to warehouse operations, logistics processes and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Office skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel between sites.
