Junior Business Development Executive

About the role

Trend Group is seeking a driven and energetic Junior Business Development Executive to support its growth strategy in Johannesburg. You will identify new business opportunities, build relationships within the commercial property sector, and help move prospects through to project award.

Key responsibilities

• Research and prospect companies that may be relocating, expanding, consolidating or refurbishing office space.
• Generate leads through phone calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn, networking events and referrals.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients and track opportunities in the CRM.
• Establish relationships with commercial property brokers, tenant representatives, landlords, project management firms and corporate real‑estate teams.
• Attend industry events, support senior business development colleagues, and assist with proposal and tender submissions.
• Monitor market news, lease expiries, competitor activity and prepare weekly pipeline reports.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Property Studies, Construction Management, Interior Design, Real Estate or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in business development, sales, commercial property, recruitment or related built‑environment roles.
• Strong communication, networking and telephone skills with a proactive, self‑motivated attitude.
