Junior Audit Manager

About the role

BDO is seeking a motivated Junior Audit Manager to join its audit team. You will support the delivery of high‑quality audit engagements, ensuring that planning, execution and reporting are performed in line with firm standards and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain sign‑off on audit planning before fieldwork begins.
• Prepare detailed budgets, allocate staff and manage task‑code requests.
• Communicate deadlines and budget expectations to the audit team.
• Liaise with clients, schedule audit requirements and act as the primary client contact.
• Review draft financial statements and audit opinions.
• Attend and present at audit committee meetings and wrap‑up sessions.
• Ensure timely archiving of audit files and delivery of signed financial statements to the Audit Administrator.

Required profile

• CA(SA) eligible or completed a three‑year SAICA training contract.
• Strong project‑management capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Proven client‑interaction and negotiation skills.
• People‑management experience, including coaching and mentoring.
• Effective presentation and administrative abilities.
