About the role

The school seeks a dedicated teacher to adopt a holistic view of students, promoting their overall progress and well‑being. You will create a positive learning environment that motivates learners to reach their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons.
• Establish a nurturing classroom that encourages active learning.
• Maintain professional standards regarding punctuality, behaviour and homework.
• Evaluate and continuously refine teaching practice.
• Participate in personal and school‑wide professional development.
• Provide extra lessons on two afternoons per week when required.
• Support the co‑curricular programme.
• Produce high‑quality learning resources.
• Attend special school occasions as directed by the Head.
• Set, mark exams and other forms of student evaluation, and write report comments.
• Undertake any other reasonable tasks assigned by the School Head.

Required profile

• Confidence in using IT for teaching.
• Proven teaching track record.
• Experience with the IEB programme.
• 3‑5 years of teaching experience (advantageous).
• University qualification.
• Certified Teaching Status (SACE).
• Strong commitment to student development.
• Passion for the teaching profession.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Positive attitude to change and continuous improvement.
