About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our client’s team operating in Cape Town and Johannesburg. The role involves ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of the organisation’s IT infrastructure across multiple departments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain servers, networks, and overall IT infrastructure.
• Perform system backups, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Monitor system performance, security, and network availability.
• Provide technical support to users across various departments.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software assets.
• Maintain accurate documentation of the IT environment.
• Ensure systems are secure, up‑to‑date, and operating efficiently.

Required profile

• IT qualification or relevant certification.
• Proven experience in systems administration.
• Strong knowledge of networking principles and IT infrastructure.
• Experience with Windows Server environments and Microsoft technologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
