IT Support Engineer – Johannesburg

About the role

Want to be the engineer everyone calls when it matters? Here, keeping the environment running is yours. Reporting to IT Management, you will keep a Microsoft and virtualised environment stable, secure and running smoothly. You will resolve issues from user support through to infrastructure, as part of a close‑knit IT team that values ownership and practical problem‑solving.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network and user issues.
• Installing, configuring and upgrading systems, including scheduled maintenance.
• Maintaining security standards across the network infrastructure.
• Documenting resolutions and system changes clearly.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Information Technology or a related field.
• Solid grounding in networking principles and infrastructure.
• Microsoft, Cisco or VMware certification advantageous.
• Ability to explain technical issues in language users understand.
• Commitment to own a problem until it is fully solved.

• VMware and Hyper‑V virtualization platforms.
• Microsoft 365, Intune and Azure administration.
