IT Intern – Technical Support & Infrastructure

About the role

Quick2start is looking for a motivated IT Intern to support its technology operations. This 12‑month internship offers hands‑on experience in technical support, hardware and software maintenance, and cybersecurity initiatives within a dynamic South African environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line technical support to end‑users.
• Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot computer, network, and system issues.
• Support website and email administration activities.
• Maintain IT equipment inventory and documentation.
• Help with data backups, system updates, and cybersecurity measures.
• Document technical procedures and create user guides.
• Assist with network monitoring and routine maintenance.

Required profile

• National Diploma, Degree or Certificate in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, software and networking concepts.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
