Information Security Specialist – 24 Month Fixed Term

About the role

The Information Security Specialist will plan, manage and administer the company's network security, ensuring all components comply with approved guidelines and processes. This 24‑month fixed‑term role is based in Centurion and focuses on protecting information assets against threats.

Key responsibilities

• Design, install and manage security mechanisms to protect the company network and information systems.
• Upgrade systems by implementing and maintaining security controls and hardening.
• Conduct IT risk assessments, group policy management and respond to internal and external audit findings.
• Drive vulnerability management, remediation programmes and cloud‑security remediation.
• Monitor, investigate and report information security incidents and policy breaches.

Required profile

• National Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent (NQF level 6).
• At least five years of experience in IT governance and security.
• Relevant certifications such as ITIL Foundation, Security+, CISM, CISSP (SCCM, COBIT advantageous).
