IT Business Development Manager – Technology Recruitment

About the role

Teqleader Consulting is looking for an experienced IT Business Development Manager to join its growing team. The role focuses on generating new business and expanding existing accounts within the technology recruitment and staffing market in South Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities across the South African market.
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision‑makers in target organisations.
• Grow existing client accounts and uncover additional revenue streams.
• Collaborate with recruitment consultants to deliver high‑quality candidates for contract and permanent roles.
• Achieve monthly sales, placement and revenue targets.
• Negotiate commercial terms and manage the full client lifecycle.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of business development experience in IT recruitment, technology staffing, IT consulting or professional services.
• Proven track record of consistently winning new business.
• Experience selling recruitment and staffing solutions to corporate clients.
• Strong network within banking, financial services, insurance, telecommunications, technology or other enterprise sectors.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation and relationship‑management skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
