Business Development Manager – IBM Solutions

About the role

The technology solutions company is looking for a Business Development Manager focused on IBM hardware. You will act as a technology evangelist, driving IBM’s portfolio strategy, building partnerships, and supporting revenue and profit goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with IBM, vendors, and partner ecosystem.
• Identify new business opportunities and create growth strategies with partners.
• Provide weekly sales forecasts and assist with pricing, tender evaluation, and solution recommendations.
• Deliver product training, presentations, and enablement sessions to sales teams and partners.
• Track market trends, competitive activity, and share insights with management.
• Represent the organisation at conferences, partner and customer engagements.

Required profile

• Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and networking abilities.
• Good understanding of the IT industry, channel dynamics, and marketing strategies.
• Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, including C‑level executives.
• Excellent time‑management, organization, and prioritisation skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IBM hardware portfolio, product roadmaps, and lifecycle.
• Experience in business development, partner enablement, and sales forecasting.
• Capability to develop business cases and support tender processes.
