Inventory Controller

About the role

Ivanhoe Mines is seeking an Inventory Controller to manage the flow of bags and stock from the mine to the port. You will ensure accurate, on‑time recording of all inventory movements and support the company’s commitment to responsible mining and clean‑energy transition.

Key responsibilities

• Control all stock arrivals and dispatches at port and transit warehouses.
• Coordinate loading, dispatches, and FIFO movement of cargo in Zambia warehouses.
• Record stock movements in the company’s software, including receipt confirmations and stock retirements.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances.
• Track and monitor vehicles transporting cargo, follow up on delays, and close off tracking activities in the system.
• Identify inefficiencies in warehouse operations and implement improvements.

Required profile

• National Senior Certificate (Matric) – relevant qualification advantageous.
• 2‑3 years of experience in a similar inventory or stock control role.
• Excellent computer skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience coordinating with transporters, clearing agents, and port operations is a plus.
• Knowledge of the logistics industry.
