Internal Sales Person - Centurion

About the role

PG Building Glass, part of PG Group, is Southern Africa's leading distributor of float, mirror and PG SmartGlass products, offering glass that blocks intruders, sound, heat, ultraviolet light and cold, as well as decorative finishes, colours, patterns and images. This internal sales position in Centurion supports the business in selling products through excellent customer service so that sales targets are met and market share grows.

Key responsibilities

• Process all orders correctly and on time into the SAP system to ensure good customer service and satisfaction.
• Promote and up-sell all products and services through daily customer interaction to support sales targets.
• Build effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to serve customers optimally.
• Handle all administrative tasks such as invoicing and reports accurately and within agreed timeframes.
• Coordinate delivery service so that orders arrive within agreed timeframes.
• Resolve customer queries day to day and liaise with warehouse stocks to avoid short or late deliveries.

Required profile

• Matric; a marketing diploma or degree is desirable.
• 3 years of sales-related experience.
• 3 years of experience in a glass environment.
• Knowledge of safety standards and bylaws.

Required skills

• Glass processing and sales knowledge.
• Telephone communication and negotiation skills.
• Problem solving and ability to work with irate customers.
