Intermediate Full-Stack Developer – Internal Systems & Automation

About the role

We are looking for an Intermediate Full‑Stack Developer to join a fast‑growing financial services company in Bellville. The role focuses on building and modernising internal web‑based applications, automating manual processes and delivering scalable solutions that support credit, finance, risk and business intelligence teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain internal web applications and business systems.
• Replace spreadsheet‑driven workflows with scalable, automated solutions.
• Build and maintain integrations with databases, APIs and third‑party platforms.
• Work across front‑end (React, Angular, Vue) and back‑end (Python/Django/Flask.NET, Node.js) technologies.
• Modernise legacy Excel, VBA and SQL based processes.
• Gather requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into technical designs.
• Utilise AI‑assisted development tools to improve productivity.
• Ensure applications are version‑controlled, documented, secure and supportable.
• Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting and enhancements.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Proven ability to deliver end‑to‑end full‑stack solutions independently.
• Experience in financial services or data‑driven environments is a plus.

Required skills

• Python (Django or Flask) or .NET or Node.js.
• Front‑end frameworks: React, Angular or Vue.
• Strong SQL and relational database expertise.
• API design, authentication, integration and error handling.
• Git/GitHub version control.
• Experience with deployment, production support and CI/CD pipelines.
• Microsoft 365 tools: Excel, SharePoint, Power BI.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools.
