Business Analyst – Contract (Bellville, Cape Town)

About the role

Our client in Bellville, Cape Town is seeking a Business Analyst on a contract basis to support business and IT initiatives. You will work closely with stakeholders, the Automation team and cross‑functional groups to translate business needs into actionable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with business stakeholders to identify problems and opportunities.
• Analyse, decompose and document business processes, requirements and functional specifications.
• Assist in solution conceptualisation, proposals and business case development.
• Plan, organise and manage work to ensure timely delivery and alignment with strategy.
• Collaborate with Automation, Development, QA, UAT, Change Management and Project Management teams.
• Participate in Quality Assurance, User Acceptance Testing and incident resolution.

Required profile

• Degree in Commerce, Business Analysis, Information Systems or related field.
• Business Analyst certification and 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with process‑modelling methodologies and tools (Lean Six Sigma, Enterprise Architecture).
• Proven ability to facilitate workshops and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Background in Agile environments, Scrum and product backlog management.
• Knowledge of automation processes and project‑management techniques.
• Familiarity with short‑term insurance industry and operations management principles.
