Insurance Broker (Stellenbosch)

About the role

OUTsurance, a South African insurer founded 28 years ago, is hiring an OUTsurance Broker in Stellenbosch. The role sits in the Tied Agent model and reports directly to the regional manager, working closely with the wider commercial team. The broker grows the business insurance portfolio by building a book of short-term insurance and sells personal lines and commercial lines through prospecting and canvassing.

Key responsibilities

• Grow and develop the business insurance portfolio by building a book of short-term insurance.
• Sell personal lines and commercial lines by prospecting and canvassing for new business.
• Work independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and accepting feedback.

Required profile

• Completed Matric or National Senior Certificate.
• Own reliable vehicle with uninterrupted access and a valid code B driver's licence.
• 3 years of external sales experience in a face-to-face selling environment, including lead generation, cold calling, relationship management and opening doors.
• Previous experience as a FAIS representative is non-negotiable; FAIS credits or Full Insurance Qualification (depending on Dofa) and RE5 (depending on Dofa) are required.
