Insurance Broker (KwaZulu-Natal)

About the role

OUTsurance is hiring an insurance broker in KwaZulu-Natal to build its business insurance portfolio. The broker grows the portfolio by building a book of short-term insurance and sells personal lines and commercial lines by prospecting and canvassing for new business. The post reports directly to the regional manager and works closely with the wider commercial team.

Key responsibilities

• Grow and develop the business insurance portfolio by building a book of short-term insurance
• Sell personal lines and commercial lines by prospecting and canvassing for new business
• Work independently and as part of a team, accepting and giving feedback

Required profile

• Completed Matric or National Senior Certificate
• Own reliable vehicle with uninterrupted access and a valid code B driver's licence
• 3 years of external sales experience in a face-to-face selling environment
• Experience in lead generation, cold calling, relationship management and opening doors
• Previous experience as a FAIS representative requires FAIS credits and/or Full Insurance Qualifications (depending on date of first appointment)
