Human Resources Officer

About the role

The Human Resources Officer will support MultiLead Consulting Services by managing core HR functions, including recruitment, payroll processing, and employee benefits administration. This full‑time position focuses on ensuring compliance with HR policies and delivering high‑quality service to internal business units.

Key responsibilities

• Streamline recruitment and selection processes, including executive summaries, shortlisting, and interview coordination.
• Conduct background checks (traffic infringements, qualifications, credit, criminal, references) and competency assessments.
• Draft appointment letters and manage related recruitment documentation.
• Provide business units with clear information on administrative HR procedures.
• Maintain data integrity and minimise audit queries by applying approved HR policies.
• Implement the Conditions of Service policy and advise on employee benefits and statutory requirements.
• Administer employee benefits such as leave, housing, medical aid, and pension.
• Deliver inductions on employee benefits for newly appointed staff.

Required profile

• National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology, Organisational Development, Social Sciences, or Public Administration.
• Minimum two (2) years of relevant HR experience, including recruitment and selection.
• Knowledge of HR policies, Public Service Regulations, Employment Equity Act, Labour Relations Act, and Basic Conditions of Employment Act.
• Experience processing payroll data on the SAGE 300 system, including travel claims and statutory payments.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Strong organisational, written and verbal communication, confidentiality, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with solid problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
