People & Talent Acquisition Manager – IT/Technology

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on People and Talent Acquisition Manager to lead the end‑to‑end recruitment and talent development function for our IT and technology teams. Based in Waterfall City, Midrand, you will work in a hybrid environment to attract scarce technical talent and build career pathways that retain high‑performers.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full recruitment lifecycle for IT, technical, consulting and professional roles, from requirement definition to offer and onboarding.
• Develop and maintain talent pipelines and partner with hiring managers to secure the right capabilities.
• Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies and oversee candidate experience.
• Create clear career pathways, competency frameworks and development plans for technical staff.
• Drive performance management processes, quarterly check‑ins and succession planning.
• Support workforce planning, organisational design and future talent forecasting.
• Advise managers on employee relations, performance issues and workplace challenges.
• Ensure HR policies, records and compliance are up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in HR, Industrial Psychology, Organisational Development or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in HR, People & Culture, Talent Acquisition or HR Business Partnering.
• Proven experience recruiting for IT/technology roles in a scarce‑skills market.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation.
• Excellent communication, relationship‑building and commercial acumen.
• Highly organised and able to operate strategically and hands‑on.
