Human Resource Manager – Midrand

About the role

The Human Resource Manager will be based in Midrand and report directly to the CEO. This senior position oversees all HR and payroll functions for a construction company, ensuring compliance with South African labour legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Run and oversee payroll, including calculations, payslips, tax, IRP5 and UIF submissions.
• Implement and upgrade HR policies, systems and procedures.
• Manage the full employee life‑cycle from onboarding to exit, including documentation.
• Lead recruitment, selection and support heads of departments in policy communication.
• Handle union‑employer relations, wage negotiations and represent the company at CCMA.
• Chair the Employment Equity Committee and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
• Manage COIDA compliance and IOD submissions through FEMA.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Human Resources.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management.
• Proven experience in VIP payroll administration.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and regulations.
• Experience in a unionised environment and working with bargaining councils.
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport.
