Human Resources Manager – Technology Organization

About the role

A growing technology organization based in Somerset West, Western Cape, is recruiting an experienced, commercially astute and people-focused Human Resources Manager through Chosen Online. The role takes ownership of the HR function, including talent acquisition, policy development, employee experience, performance management, career planning and organizational development. It is a permanent, onsite senior position.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies and policies aligned with business objectives, ensuring compliance with South African labour legislation and establishing scalable HR processes.
• Manage the full recruitment and selection lifecycle, build talent pipelines and strengthen employer branding.
• Implement OKR frameworks, performance management processes and structured performance reviews.
• Build career progression frameworks, identify high-potential employees and run mentoring, coaching and leadership development programmes.
• Own the employee experience: engagement surveys, recognition and reward programmes, employee relations and well-being.
• Design onboarding programmes, including 30-, 60- and 90-day plans, probation and early performance reviews.
• Oversee HR administration, contracts and records, support remuneration reviews and benefits, and monitor HR metrics such as turnover and retention.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, Business Management or a related field; a postgraduate HR qualification is advantageous.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, including an HR Manager or senior HR generalist role.
• Experience in the technology, software, SaaS or IT services industry is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience developing HR policies, recruitment, career development, onboarding and employee engagement programmes.
• Sound knowledge of South African labour legislation.
