Human Resources Manager

About the role

The Human Resources Manager will lead the HR function for CBZ Solutions across multiple sites, providing strategic and operational guidance in a maintenance and operational environment. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures compliance, supports a diverse workforce and drives organisational capability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the full HR function in support of company strategy, operational priorities and statutory obligations.
• Partner with head office and site leadership on workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, mobilisation and broader people‑resourcing requirements.
• Lead and advise on employee and labour relations matters, including misconduct, grievances, incapacity, poor performance, investigations, disciplinary processes, appeals and dispute resolution.
• Manage labour relations, union engagement and representation before the CCMA, bargaining councils and related forums.
• Ensure HR policies, employment documentation, records and processes are current, well‑governed and consistently applied.
• Lead Employment Equity, Workplace Skills Plan, Annual Training Report and other statutory HR submissions and compliance requirements.
• Oversee payroll inputs, leave, benefits and related HR controls to ensure accuracy, confidentiality and compliance.
• Build management capability through guidance and coaching to support fair, consistent and effective people management.
• Promote employee engagement, wellness and respectful workplace practices appropriate to a diverse operational workforce.
• Provide accurate HR reporting and lead the HR team to deliver a professional, responsive and value‑adding service.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management, Labour Relations, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 to 10 years broad HR generalist experience.
