HR Manager

About the role

The HR Manager will lead the human resources function for Cox South Africa, a solar thermal technology company. This role supports project teams, ensures compliance with employment equity, and drives talent initiatives across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Manage talent acquisition, onboarding, development, performance management and employee relations.
• Drive employment equity plans and monitor targets.
• Serve as the liaison between project sites and HR administration, including payroll.
• Provide guidance to line managers on HR policies, procedures and complex employee issues.
• Support change management, assess business impact on people, and promote the employer brand.
• Develop and monitor employee engagement and wellness initiatives, including post‑implementation reviews.
• Handle employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, grievances, union engagement and disability cases.
• Engage with communities and clients to align project activities and manage stakeholder expectations.

Required profile

• Relevant HR qualification.
• Minimum five years of HR management experience covering talent acquisition, people management, industrial relations and benefits administration.
• Proven experience in a construction or mining environment.
