HR Generalist – Talent Pool

About the role

The HR Generalist – Talent Pool will support Discovery Connect’s Human Resources team in Johannesburg. The role focuses on delivering end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding, employee administration and HR projects across all product lines, including Discovery Bank.

Key responsibilities

• Track recruitment activities and facilitate on‑boarding, cross‑boarding and off‑boarding processes.
• Maintain up‑to‑date job profiles, specifications and a career map for Discovery Connect.
• Liaise with line managers, candidates and senior management to schedule interviews, assessments and provide feedback.
• Prepare contracts, transfer letters and guide new hires through required documentation.
• Administer HR data, support incapacity and disciplinary processes, and conduct exit and stay interviews.
• Partner with HR Business Partners to develop area‑specific HR strategy and implement project initiatives.
• Generate reports on people metrics, identify trends and propose action plans.

Required skills

• Experience with recruitment tracking systems.
