HR Clerk

About the role

Isambane Mining is looking for a professional and detail‑oriented HR Clerk to provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources Department. The role involves capturing employee hours, administering leave, maintaining personnel records and supporting payroll processes in line with company policies and relevant legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Capture and verify employee hours for payroll purposes.
• Administer employee leave, monitor balances and maintain leave records.
• Maintain accurate personnel files and employee records.
• Prepare HR documentation such as contracts, appointment letters, transfers and terminations.
• Assist with onboarding, inductions and related administration.
• Coordinate medical examinations, mine inductions and mandatory training bookings.
• Enter and maintain HR information in the company’s HR and payroll systems.
• Support payroll preparation by ensuring all documentation is submitted accurately and on time.
• Maintain attendance registers and assist with absenteeism reporting.
• Provide recruitment administration support, including interview scheduling and processing employment documentation.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
• National Certificate or Diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field (advantageous).
• Minimum of 2 years’ HR administration experience, preferably in the mining industry.
• Valid Code B driver’s licence and medical fitness in accordance with mine and client requirements.
• Basic knowledge of the BCEA, LRA and MHSA.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
