Talent Acquisition Coordinator - US Healthcare (Remote)

About the role

ISTA Personnel Solutions South Africa, a BPO company serving U.S. clients, is recruiting a Talent Acquisition Coordinator for a busy recruitment team supporting a fast-growing US healthcare group. This is a salaried, in-house role with no commission, where you find and screen candidates and present them to hiring managers who make the final decisions. The position is fully remote and open to candidates living in South Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Hold weekly calls with facility contacts to confirm hiring needs.
• Source candidates through the ATS and re-engage previous applicants when candidate flow slows.
• Screen candidates by phone, Zoom or Microsoft Teams, keeping 18-20 interview slots per day and maintaining a full calendar for the next 2-3 days.
• Verify that candidates meet role and state licensure requirements before progressing them.
• Book qualified candidates directly into hiring managers' calendars using text message templates and scheduling links (Calendly / Microsoft Teams Bookings).
• Guide candidates through step-by-step onboarding and track completion.
• Communicate proactively with facilities and the Director of Recruitment, flagging drops in candidate flow early.

Required profile

• At least 2 years' experience in a phone-based, people-facing role such as recruitment, sales, customer service or call centre.
• Strong verbal and written English and strong organisational and calendar management skills.
• Comfortable working with computer systems and learning new ones quickly.
• Resilient and self-motivated, with the drive to hit daily targets.

Required skills

• ATS experience (Workday or similar) is beneficial.
• Familiarity with US healthcare roles or licensing requirements is beneficial.
• Experience with Calendly, Microsoft Teams or Zoom is beneficial.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 4:00pm to 1:00am SAST (subject to daylight saving time); public holidays are worked and compensated in line with the BCEA. Internet requirements include a fixed fibre line of at least 25 Mbps and a power backup solution; applicants without these cannot be considered.
