Hotel Reservationist – Luxury 4‑Star Hotel

About the role

We are seeking a presentable and well‑spoken Hotel Reservationist to join a 4‑star hotel in Northern Pretoria. The role focuses on delivering professional, efficient, and memorable reservation services for leisure guests, covering accommodation, spa treatments, dining, day packages, and special events.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the central contact for all leisure‑related reservations and guest inquiries.
• Convert inquiries into confirmed bookings by proactively selling accommodation, spa, dining, and day‑package options.
• Collaborate with the Leisure Supervisor to coordinate guest itineraries and ensure seamless delivery of experiences.
• Provide accurate information on facilities, packages, and promotional offers.
• Support the Reservations Manager in optimising occupancy and revenue from leisure reservations.
• Maintain detailed records, generate reports, and adhere to SOPs and policy requirements.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) or Hospitality/Tourism diploma; tertiary qualification preferred.
• 2‑3 years’ experience in hotel reservations or leisure coordination within an up‑market or luxury environment.
• Demonstrated strength in guest liaison, sales conversion, and data accuracy.
• High level of integrity, reliability, and a proactive, customer‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of hospitality reservation processes and leisure operations.
• Familiarity with Opera, Protel, or equivalent Property Management System and online booking platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
