About the role

Pezula Nature Retreat, part of the Village n Life Group, seeks an experienced Hotel Manager to lead daily operations at its nature‑led retreat in Knysna. The role blends operational excellence with a guest‑focused culture, requiring strong leadership across all departments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support operational teams across rooms, food & beverage, and guest services.
• Ensure consistent service standards and smooth daily operations.
• Build a guest‑focused culture through coaching, accountability, and feedback management.
• Oversee budgets, cost controls, and overall financial performance.
• Maintain compliance, quality standards, and property readiness.
• Collaborate closely with the wider Village n Life leadership team.

Required profile

• Hospitality management qualification or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Hotel Manager or senior hospitality leader, preferably in a 4‑ or 5‑star environment.
• Strong knowledge of rooms, food & beverage, and guest service operations.
• Solid financial understanding and operational discipline.
• Confident leader with excellent communication skills.
• Hands‑on approach with strong attention to detail.
